    Abstract:

By means of thermal decomposition, Pb3O4 layer was introduced into the Ti/SnO2-Sb electrode to increase the electrode service life through increasing the cohesive force between PbO2 and Ti. The results show that the introduction of the Pb3O4 layer greatly enhances the accelerated test life of the PbO2 electrode from 100.5 h to 970 h. The enhancement causes of the accelerated life for the PbO2 electrode due to the introduction of the Pb3O4 layer were analyzed based on the results of XRF, XRD and SEM.
