    Abstract:

    7wt%YSZ powder was used as feedstocks during Air Plasma Spray (APS). Through controlling the spraying distance during the process, we got three different TBC samples. The properties including porosity, thermal conductivity and microstructure were characterized. Through comparison, we found that the spraying distance largely influenced the shape and distribution of the pores, gave different levels of porosities, and thus produced different thermal conductivity.
